The most important task of the museum is the preservation, protection, replenishment of scientific study, restoration and development of national art treasures from ancient to modern times. The team of the museum shows the professionalism, keeping priceless works to make them available for current and future generations, does its best to every visitor, coming the museum could enjoy art and learn many new, interesting things.
We are constantly expanding the number of media (albums, brochures, tours, lectures and art events) about the museum collection, to make it available to a new range of visitors, including people with disabilities. In addition, we are trying to attract those who believe that museums are not interesting.
The main forms of work with the visitors are the organization of mass events- festivals, during which exhibitions from the funds of the museum are displayed in the museum and promote knowledge of it represented in works of art (“Images that come to life”,” Museum opens secret”,” Pototskys’ Ball”, ets.), numerous art project that combine educational and recreational components of the museum.
Salon of the arts of Vinnitsa Regional Art Museum, was opened in 1993, plays a leading role in a broad range of educational programs that attracts new categories of visitors to the museum through innovative ideas of fusion arts- painting, music, speech,-which happens during art events. Salon audience is intellectual, creative, business elite of the city, foreign delegations, famous musicians, artists, scientists. As an effective continuation of the Salon of Art in February 2009 the “Youth Art Salon” opened, the main goal of it- is extremely fruitful cooperation with youth.
The team of museum pays a lot of attention to the work with cultural institutions of Ukraine-Kyiv, Lviv, Odessa, Donetsk, Hust, Mukachevo and abroad- France, Poland, Germany, Russia, Switzerland, Moldova, Lithuania.
With an extremely rich collection of works of art that has been forming for centuries in the territory of Podillya, the museum is working at increasing its presence in large significant exhibition projects, such as “Holy Rus-Ukraine”, “The big Ukrainians”.
Modern museums not only preserve art- it is essential to enable an access to these treasures of the broadest spectrum of visitors. Besides the permanent exhibition, we annually present innovative designs of temporary exhibitions, involving participation of the leading artists of Ukraine, other European countries.
